In the development phase of the Bach48 project, George Lepauw gave his first complete performance of the Well-Tempered Clavier in a five hour performance accompanied by eight dancers from Chicago’s Hubbard Street Dance Company. George has always felt strongly about the importance of movement in this music, and dance has inspired him in the process of preparing the recording, sharpening his listening of the work’s internal voices, harmonies and rhythms.
