In a 12-hour clock, as the name suggests, we only count up until 12. In the afternoon, we take the 24-hour time and subtract 12 hours from it to get the 12-hour time. Emergency services such as nursing homes, hospital wards, and intensive care units also use the 24-hour clock but do not refer to it as military time. In the same way, police are required to use the 24-hour format clock for the documents, too. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had a disability. Because a person may become disabled at any time, we ask all of our employees to update their information at least every five years. During the day, ancient Egyptians were using a solar clock that was divided into 10 sectors-hours.
