This value is based on the letters of the alphabet, with each letter having a corresponding number. The calculator can be used to find the numerical value of a word or phrase, which can then be used to interpret its meaning. To begin, if you want to use the Gematria Calculator app, you must first learn the Gematria Calculator. A Gematria Calculator, whether digital or online, calculates and displays the Gematria significance of any term, word, name, or message. Although a type of gematria system (‘Aru’) was employed by the ancient Babylonian culture, their writing script was logographic, and the numerical assignments they made were to whole words. The value of these words were assigned in an entirely arbitrary manner and correspondences were made through tables,[2] and so cannot be considered a true form of gematria. Aru was very different from the gematria systems used by Hebrew and Greek cultures, which used alphabetic writing scripts. Similar systems have been used in other languages and cultures derived from or inspired by Hebrew gematria; Arabic abjad numerals, and English gematria. There is currently no academic consensus over whether Hebrew gematria or Greek isopsephy was used first. Add the values of the letters in the name to determine their value. If the sum is a double-digit number, simply add the two figures to produce a single digit. (For instance, the numerical value of your name number, 21, is three.) Only if your name number is 11 or 22 will there be an exception. In the earliest Jewish culture, gematria was primarily used as a numerical system to aid in the comprehension of spiritual as well as religious writings. As a result, different people may interpret spiritual texts differently depending on their beliefs. Variant spellings of some letters can be used to produce sets of different numbers, which can be added up or analyzed separately.
